San Marcos score two runs in the first inning, but the Royals were shut down the rest of the way and lost to Buena, 12-2, in a Channel League softball game on Tuesday.
“We didn’t hit like we could and made mistakes,” San Marcos coach Jeff Swann said. “Plus, Buena is a good team.”
Hailee Rios went 2-for-3 with a double to lead San Marcos hitters. She also pitched and struck out nine Bulldogs.
