CIF Polls: Dos Pueblos is new No. 1 in softball

Dos Pueblos has taken over the No. 1 spot in the latest CIF-SS Division 4 softball poll.

The Chargers (5-1) are coming off a consolation title at the Suzanne Manlet Invitational in Simi Valley. They routed Righetti, 9-1, in the consolation final.

San Marcos remained atop the Division 2 rankings after winning its second tournament of the season, the Dos Pueblos Invitational. The Royals open Channel League on Wednesday at sixth-ranked Dos Pueblos.

Santa Barbara is ranked seventh.

In Division 4, Laguna Blanca is ranked sixth. The Owls beat No. 2 Arrowhead Christian and No. 8 Mary Star of the Sea last week.

Carpinteria is No. 6 in Division 3 and Laguna Blanca is third and Cate is eighth in Division 4.
