Tristan Fauntleroy had 20 kills, but Santa Barbara High’s volleyball team couldn’t keep pace with visiting Valencia and lost in three sets, 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.
The result dropped the Dons to 5-6 going into spring break.
“It’s not the end of the world,” Santa Barbara coach Chad Arneson said. “It’s going to come down to working hard in practices. We have to stop making excuses and go after the ball.”
The Dons had leads in every set, but they couldn’t hold them due to runs of mistakes.
“We were in most of those games, but the runs are killing us. Our guys can’t get discouraged,” said Arneson.
