BVB: Chargers show good balance in sweep of AG

Setter Mark Raphael spread the ball around and Dos Pueblos took down Arroyo Grande, 25-21, 25-18, 25-21, in a non-league boys volleyball match on the road.

Raphael had 37 assists, and three players recorded double figures in kills. Eli Wopat led the team with 11, while Matt Sessler and Nate Holmes each had 10. Middle Eli Shulman had three blocks and chipped in with three kills.

“Tonight, my boys started to play faster and more confidently, leading to one our best passing and attacking nights of the season,” said DP coach Ehren Hug.

“I’m proud of how well we came out and communicated on every play in serve receive and kept our minds on the play at hand,” said Hug.

Dos Pueblos (2-2) hosts Santa Barbara in a Channel League opener on Thursday.
