Dos Pueblos’s Cameron Cox lost his semifinal to the eventual CIF champion in his weight class on Saturday, ultimately placing third at the CIF Inland Division Wrestling Championships.

Cox, competing at 128 pounds, went 4-1 in the tournament with three pins and one major decision, and qualified for next week’s Masters Meet.

“He wrestled a great tournament,” said Chargers head coach Anthony Califano. “He’s going to be in the mix at Masters.”

Eden Martinez and Jeff Uyesaka also placed for Dos Pueblos. Martinez was 6th at the 147-pound level and Uyesaka was 6th at 134 pounds.
