Nick Busch poured in 27 points, and Bishop Diego’s defense held Malibu to nine points in the third quarter and pulled away to a 61-51 win in a Tri-Valley League basketball game on Friday.
“We had a great defensive effort in the third quarter and went up 41-34,” said Bishop Diego coach Dean Prophet.
Grant Sexton scored 14 points and Peter Kwock added 13 for the Cardinals, who improve to 6-3 in league and 15-9 overall.
Bishop completes TVL play Wednesday at home against Oaks Christian.
