BBK: Bishop drops first game in TVL play

Oaks Christian’s size and quickness proved to be too much for Bishop Diego as the Cardinals dropped a 66-43 basketball decision against the Lions in a battle of unbeatens in the Tri-Valley League.

“We didn’t play very well tonight,” said Bishop coach Dean Prophet. “We had a lot of turnovers, gave up offensive boards and we had trouble against their traps.”

It was the first loss in league for the Cardinals (13-6, 4-1).

Grant Sexton scored 11 points to lead Bishop in scoring. Will Busch, Nick Busch and Peter Kwock each scored seven points.

Bishop is back in action on Monday against Carpinteria in a non-league game.
