Ryan Baird was a force at both ends of the court, recording a double-double of 17 points and 13 rebounds to lead Cate to a 62-57 boys basketball win over Besant Hill in a Condor League game on Wednesday.
John Basar had a big third quarter for the Rams, knocking down three of his four 3-point baskets. He finished with 15 points. Spencer Whiteman also had adouble double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Carlos Fairbanks hauled in 11 rebounds and drew two charging fouls.
The Rams improve to 2-1 in the Condor League and 3-5 overall.
