Sierra Garibay and Brenda Rodriguez each scored four goals, and Carpinteria jumped on Hueneme early and rolled to an 18-3 girls water polo win on Friday.
“We came out very aggressive and determined after our one-goal loss to Camarillo earlier in the week,” Carpinteria coach Bryan Swarm said. “Our defense was great all day and our offense was working. It was a nice way to go into our break for the holidays.”
Carpinteria scored seven goals in the first period, held Hueneme scoreless in the second and took a 12-2 lead at halftime
Leticia Cruz, Allison Wagner and Maya Grant added three goals a piece for the Warriors, who improve to 4-7.
