Carpinteria roared out to an 8-0 lead in the first quarter en route to a 16-3 win over visiting Channel Islands in a non-league girls water polo match on Wednesday.
Sierra Garibay scored five goals and Allison Wagner and Maya Grant added three apiece for the Warriors, who improve to 3-5.
“We got off to a very fast start with balanced scoring and solid defense,” Carpinteria coach Bryan Swarm said. “We’re getting a little better each game.”
