Santa Barbara High’s girls water polo team split its matches on Saturday, beating Edison 9-7 before falling to Los Alamitos 7-4 at Ocean View High School.
Betsy Hendrix scored five goals and added two assists in the win over Edison. Other contributors included Anna Brummett and Erin McGeoy, with three assists each, and Kristina Garcia, with a goal and four steals.
In the second game, Jessie Brummett recorded a team-high three goals. Anna Brummett scored SB’s other goal to go with an assist and four steals.
Santa Barbara’s early-season record now stands at 1-2. The Dons host Agoura on Tuesday in their home opener.
