Caroline Montgomery, Chloe King and Sophia Soriano each scored three goals, and Cate opened its water polo season with a 12-4 win over visiting Camarillo on Wednesday.
“It was a true team effort, with five girls getting into the scorer’s column,” said Cate coach Nathan Alldredge.
King scored a spectacular goal at the end of the second quarter, lobbing a halfcourt shot into the cage at the horn.
