With five new starters, Carpinteria’s girls water polo team got off to a rough start to the season, losing to Pacifica 13-4.
“We’re going through some growing pains while getting to know each other,” Carpinteria coach Bryan Swarm said. “We are a work in progress and getting better as we go through this early stage of development.”
