Cydney Pierce
Three local players – Laguna Blanca’s Clara & Phoebe Madsen, and Cate’s Cydney Pierce – have been placed on the Division 4A All-CIF Girls Volleyball Team.
The Madsens led the Owls all the way to the Southern Section final, where they lost to Player of the Year Grace Minchin and Pacifica Christian.
Pierce led Cate to the semifinals before they too fell to Pacifica Christian.
Laguna Blanca and Cate shared the Condor League title.
Clara Madsen, a senior, became a two-time All-CIF First Team selection. It was the first time for Pierce, a senior, and Phoebe Madsen, a sophomore.
