Santa Barbara High’s Ruth Hunter clocked a personal-best time on the Mt. SAC course on Saturday at the Southern Section’s CIF Cross Country Prelims.
The freshman came in 18th overall in her Division-2 heat with a time of 19:03, improving by 30 seconds her time from the Mt. SAC Invitational in October.
“She was pretty happy; it was a good way to finish up the season,” said Dons head coach Olivia Perdices.
The top six in each heat advance to next Saturday’s CIF Final.
