Cate was seeded fourth and at-large entry Laguna Blanca received a home game for the CIF-SS 8-man football playoffs, which were announced Monday.
Cate (6-3), which won its second straight Condor League title, will host Upland Christian (6-3) in a first-round game on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
Laguna Blanca is in the playoffs for the first time since 2010. The Owls (5-3) will also be home on Saturday against Pacific Lutheran of Gardena (8-1). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
Pacific Lutheran plays a free-lance schedule, while Laguna Blanca took third in the Condor League.
Among Laguna Blanca’s wins this season is a 50-48 decision over No. 2 seed Coast Union. If both schools win, they would face each other in the second round.
