Playing its first match as the No. 1-ranked girls volleyball team in CIF Division 4-A, Cate rolled to a sweep over Thacher, 25-10, 25-11, 25-17, in the Condor League on Wednesday.
Maddie Becker put down 11 kills with no hitting errors to lead the Cate attack. Cydney Pierce added eight kills and middle Lydia McMahon put away three kills on four swings.
The Rams (8-1, 3-0) play Dunn on Saturday.
