GTen: Dons get back to their winning ways

Santa Barbara High rebounded from its first loss by beating Dos Pueblos, 14-4, in a Channel League girls tennis match on Thursday.

The Dons won eight of nine doubles sets and Mattea Kilstofte and Madison Hale each went 3-0 in singles to improve to 5-0 in league and 8-1 overall. They were coming off a non-league loss and CIF Division 1 top-ranked Peninsula on Wednesday.

“I  was happy with the way our girls came ready to play following our long road trip to Peninsula yesterday,” coach Greg Tebbe said. “Dos Pueblos is a good team, so I knew we could not afford to let up. Our team was focused and gave their best effort in all three rounds and, as a coach, that is what you like to see.”
