GLF: DP’s depth is difference in win over Buena

Dos Pueblos’ five players scored between 40-45, and the Chargers rolled past Buena 212-260 in a Channel League girls golf match at Glen Annie Golf Course on Tuesday.

“Once again it was our team depth that helped us take the win,” said DP coach Dan Choi.

The Chargers improve to 11-0 and 6-0 in the Channel League. Buena is 5-4, 1-4.

Miraya Ramirez led the way for DP with a 40. She was the medalist of the match.

“This is the second time that Miraya has been the medalist at home. She has been one of our girls that has been up and down a bit with her score so it is good to see that she is starting to consistently score low,” said Choi.

Macy Broesamle shot a lifetime best of 41.

“All year Macy has been hitting the ball really well, but struggled to get her score down to what we all know she was capable of. We are certainly very happy with her 41 but at the same time we all feel and know she capable of going lower then that,” Choi said.
