Cate dropped an 18-4 boys water polo decision to Malibu on Wednesday.
Coach Nate Aldredge said senior Matthew Firestone’s hustle and offense resulted in two goals and five ejections, but Cate couldn’t capitalize on the opportunities it created.
“The effort was strong, but the execution fell short,” said Aldredge.
Cate is 2-2 and 0-1 in the Tri-Valley League.
