Tennis Roundup: Warriors defeat Laguna Blanca

Kelsie Bryant and Odessa Stork didn’t lose a game in sweeping their three singles matches, leading Carpinteria to a 14-4 girls tennis win over Laguna Blanca on Wednesday.

Carpinteria coach Charles Bryant was pleased with No. 3 singles player Makenna Pike, who went 2-1.
“She played consistent and smart,” he said.
Merissa Souza and Jackie Wilson combined to win two doubles sets as did Emily Saito-AllisonWagner and Natalie Saito-Gabi Montes De Oca
“We are still working a lot on doubles in practice but need to translate that effort over to the matches.”
Carpinteria (3-1) plays San Luis Obispo on Saturday.
ARROYO GRANDE 15, SAN MARCOS 3
San Marcos dropped a 15-3 non-league decision at Arroyo Grande on Wednesday.
“AG just had too much firepower for my girls,” said coach Fred Hartzman
The Royals’ No. 1 doubles team of Amber Rowley-Alexis Flores went 2-1 on the day.
