Ryan Sorensen and Adilene Aldapa set San Marcos records on the course at Saturday’s Lagoon Run at UCSB.
Sorsensen ran 15 minutes, 27 seconds on the 3-mile course to take first-place honors, leading the Royals to the team title. Teammate Eric Salas finished second in 15:51.
Aldapa ran 18:49 to win the girls race. Her time eclipsed the previous best by a Royal, Julianna Logan’s 19:45.
Santa Barbara’s Ruth Hunter came in second in 18:52 and Natalie McClure of Dos Pueblos was third in 19:01
Ventura won the girls team title followed by Dos Pueblos and San Marcos.
