GVB: Providence keeps rolling, wins 4th straight

The Niessen sisters, Maddy and Cody, were all over the court on Friday night, scoring at the service line and at the net and setting up other hitters to lead Providence to a a four-set volleyball win against visiting Trinity Classical.

The set scores were 25-17, 19-25, 25-14, 25-18.

Maddy Niessen had 11 kills, eight assists and six service aces. Cody Niessen handed out 18 assists and served seven aces.

Ozie LeSage pounded six kills, Olivia Barroca picked up 19 digs  and Hannah Park provided good passing as the Patriots improved to 4-0.

“Trinity Classical had a talented group of volleyball players and Providence had to fight for each point,” coach Laura Newton said. “Their focus and performance last night was the best I’ve ever seen from Providence in my three years of coaching these girls. This team steps onto the court and fights hard to win each game. They are fun to watch.”
