GVB: Owls serve up a sweep against Providence

Laguna Blanca completed a 3-0 week of girls volleyball matches with a sweep of Providence in the Condor League opener on Saturday.

The Owls used potent serving to post a 25-15, 25-12, 25-9 win, improving to 6-0 on the season.

“We served really tough,” said coach Jim Alzina.

The Owls had 12 aces, led by Phoebe Madsen’s seven. She also had 11 kills.

Louisa Cameron put away 12 kills and Chloe Richman had 12 digs for the Owls, who earlier in the week beat Santa Ynez and Viewpoint.
