Melissa Jewkes shot her best career round with a 2-over par 37, leading the San Marcos girls golf team to a 229-316 win over Pacifica at River Ridge Golf Course in Oxnard on Tuesday.
“Her consistency is key as a leader on this team,” said San Marcos coach Sarah Ashton.
“I am very impressed with the way our team played today,” Ashton added. “All of the girls played very thoughtful, well-chosen shots and continue to improve with each round.”
