Carpinteria’s offense clicked just in time, and the Warriors rallied for a 12-9 boys water polo win over visiting Pacifica on Friday.
“We had a slow start, although we took alot of shots on goal, they just were not falling,” Carpinteria coach Bryan Swarm said. In the fourth quarter, “our shots finally started to drop consistently and our defense stepped up at crunch time with some big stops. Our goalie had 5 of his 10 saves in the 4th quarter.
Goalie Lucas Kalin made 10 saves in the match.
Offensively, Thomas Fly led the Warriors (3-2) with six goals and Chris Fedderson added four.
