Skyler Matthews scored the go-ahead goal with one minute left and stole two passes down the stretch to secure a 9-8 boys water polo win over Thousand Oaks on Tuesday.
Matthews played a solid game. He had a team-high four assists and five steals. Sawyer Rhodes scored twice and had five steals and Tyler Heffernan drew five ejections.
Santa Barbara rallied from a 3-0 halftime deficit, outscoring the Lancers 9-5 in the second half, despite going 1-for-8 on power plays and missing a penalty shot.
