Sophomore Jake Griffin scored a varsity career-best seven goals, leading Dos Pueblos to a 15-10 water polo over El Toro in the opening game at the South Coast Tournament in Orange County.
Griffin was 3 of 4 on shots from five meters. Blake Parrish added three goals as the Chargers got up by six goals early in the match.
In its second game, DP went up against No. 1 Mater Dei again and lost 21-7. Blake Parrish scored three goals and Paul Quintana scored the first goal of his career.
The Chargers play Villa Park today.
