The Amgen Tour of California swept into Santa Barbara on Wednesday as Stage 4 came to an end along the Pacific Ocean with American Tyler Farrar of Garmin-Sharp holding off the pack for the victory.
Farrar edged Ken Hanson and Gianni Meersman to win the 83.6-mile stage that had begun in Santa Clarita.
Janier Acevedo holds the yellow jersey as the overall leader.
The Tour of California resumes on Thursday with the start of Stage 5 in Santa Barbara and ends in Avila Beach.
