BVB: Royals need four to advance past Calvary Chapel

Calvary Chapel won the first set of Tuesday’s opening-round CIF Division-2 match at San Marcos, but the Royals were able to regroup and come back to post a 20-25, 25-18, 25-20, 25-16 decision.

The Royals improve to 21-9 and will play the winner of El Segundo and Burbank in Thursday’s second round.

San Marcos was led by 22 kills from Shane Hauschild, 15 kills from Baker Johnson and 47 assists from junior setter Christian Widmer.
