In a battle of ranked CIF tennis teams, Santa Ynez topped Laguna Blanca in a tight 10-8 decision on Wednesday.
“We’re obviously frustrated to lose a close one today, but we had some good moments as well,” said Owls head coach Trevor Thorpe.
Tristan Prinz went 3-0 in singles for the Owls, who won six of their eights points in singles play.
Laguna Blanca is now 7-2 while Santa Ynez improves to 9-5.
