SWM: SBHS boys lose heartbreaker to Thousand Oaks

In a swim meet that came down to the last event, Santa Barbara High’s boys fell to Thousand Oaks 94.5-90.5 on Tuesday.

The Lancers won the 400 free relay to take the meet.

In the girls meet, Maddie Trabucco won two events to lead the Dons to a 122-61 victory over Thousand Oaks. Trabucco captured the 100 freestyle and 100 breaststroke.

Stephanie Cormack, Sophie Trabucco and Kelsey O’Brien each posted a win and finished second. Trabucco won the 50 and was runner-up in the 100 free; O’Brien took the 100 fly and was second in the 200 free, while Cormack captured the 200 IM and was second in the 500 free

For the boys, Tarry Burkhardt was a double winner, taking the 200 IM and 100 breaststroke. Cristian Bridley won the 100 back, Peter Loomis took the 100 fly and Cuyler Gabriel was runner-up in the 200 IM and 500 free.

The Dons travel to Dos Pueblos on Thursday for a Channel League dual meet.
