San Marcos improves to 6-0 in beach volleyball league

The San Marcos girls remained undefeated in the Interscholastic Beach Volleyball League, winning two more matches in the latest competition at Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey.

The Royals swept Oxnard and the Marymount JVs 3-0 to improve to 6-0 on the season.

Also, Laguna Blanca won its first two dual matches, knocking off Santa Ynez 2-1 and Marymount JV 3-0. The Owls are 2-4.

San Marcos, Valencia, Mira Costa, Huntington Beach and Saddleback Valley Christian are unbeaten after three match-day Saturdays.

There are 30 teams competing in the IBVL and they are grouped into six divisions and two conferences. San Marcos, Laguna Blanca, Valencia JV, Thousand Oaks and Santa Ynez are in the Riviera Division, which is part of the Northern Conference with the Coastal and Mountain Divisions. The Southern Conference is composed of the Westside, Bay and Orange Divisions.

The San Marcos was represented by the teams of of Andie O?Donnell-Katie Kim, Staz Kunz-Clare Holehouse and Alex Seyle-Kristen Berlo.

Laguna Blanca?s teams consisted of Bella-Taron-Hannah White, Phoebe Madsen-Emily Lafitte and Chloe Richman-Bryn Jewett.
