Joey Gamez was a force at the net, leading Carpinteria to a four-set win at Malibu on Tuesday. The scores were 22-22, 25-22, 25-17, 25-19.
Gamez pounded 15 kills and had six blocks for the Warriors (4-7, 3-5 in the TVL). Ben O’Hara added six blocks.
Eduardo Garcia led the defensive effort with 16 digs. Chris Gaggero add four digs to go with four kills and two service aces. Setter Jesus Ortega finished with 22 assists.
