Charlotte Hendrix is making a splash in her freshman year at Harvard University. She leads the Crimson with 40 goals at mid-season.
Hendrix graduated from Santa Barbara High School in 2012 after helping lead the Dons to four CIF post-season tournaments. Hendrix?s performance with the Santa Barbara Aquatics Club is among the best in this history of youth water polo. Her teams won National Junior Olympic Titles at age 12, 14, 16, and 18. Hendrix?s teams also won National Club Championships in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2012. Charlotte was named an All-American on numerous occasions.
Hendrix started with a bang at Harvard, scoring a hat trick in the Crimson?s opener against Iona followed by a four goal performance against Villanova. Her career and season high is seven goals scored against the New York Athletic Club.
Harvard just completed an 8-day, 7-game visit to California where they defeated Santa Clara, Occidental, and Fresno Pacific before falling to U.C. Davis, University of the Pacific, San Jose State, Stanford and Cal. The Crimson Tide are 13-9 for the season.
Charlotte is carrying on the exemplary tradition of Santa Barbara Water Polo at one of the nation?s finest universities. On April 26, she will help lead the Crimson in the Eastern Conference Championships at the University of Michigan where the champion will win a berth in the 2013 NCAA Division I Championship to be held at Harvard beginning on May 10th.
