Ten: Tiebreaker decides Wolverines vs. Dons match

In a clash of top-10 Division 1 teams on Wednesday, No. 6 Harvard-Westlake overcame No. 5 Santa Barbara in a non-league matchup. The Wolverines took the decision by a games count of 85-81 after the match finished in a 9-9 tie.

Harvard-Westlake handed the Dons their first loss of the season in five matches.

The match was even throughout as the two teams split each of the three rounds 3-3.

“I was proud that our team put itself in a position to win the match at the end,” said Dons head coach Greg Tebbe. “If a couple of points had turned out differently we would have won.”

“Our guys played terrific tennis today and we learned a lot about our team. I have to highlight Graham Maasen’s performance in singles as he went 3-0 against a very strong singles lineup.”

The Dons move on to compete in the National Invitational Tournament in Newport Beach over the weekend.
