The Santa Barbara High School Boys Volleyball JV team traveled to Valencia on Saturday and marched through a host of South Coast teams finishing undefeated (7-0) in pool play. SBHS then went on to beat host Valencia 25-19 in the first round of the playoffs, San Marcos 25-22 in the semi finals and capped off the long day by beating Thousand Oaks 25-16; 25-23, finishing the tournament 10-0.
With JV Coach Dan Williams holding a MAD Academy fundraiser, Chad Arneson the Dons’ Varsity Coach was pressed into service along with Assistant Coach and former star setter Gavin Trudeau.
“I really enjoy working with the younger players.Today the entire team played together and played for each other other. They came ready to play and played to win. This group is special because they are committed to playing technically superior volleyball with passion. What more can you ask for” Arneson said.
