MBK: Warriors squeak out a victory at Hope

Jordan Sachs hit two free throws with one second left to lift Westmont to a wild 62-59 comeback win at Hope International in a GSAC men’s basketball game on Saturday night.

The Warriors trailed most of the game, but they were able to pull out the win thanks to clutch free-throw shooting. They made 14 of 19 for the game and 9 of 12 in the second half.

The teams traded turnovers before Mantas Drungys missed a jumper for the Warriors and then committed a foul with five seconds to go. Kris Rosales missed both free throws for Hope and Sachs grabbed the rebound and was fouled with one second left.

Orlando Collins scored 16 and Austin Sanford had 15 for Hope International (21-5, 6-4)
