The Gauchos started the day beating Sonoma State 10-5.

UCSB cut the deficit into one goal thanks to senior Shelby Haroldson. Arizona State took the momentum away as it scored a late goal with three seconds remaining in the third period.
The Gauchos could not get any closer to cutting the Sun Devil’s lead as they were held without a goal in the final period.
