Kelsie Sampson’s 27 points and 11 rebounds carried Westmont’s No. 8 women’s basketball team to a 68-57 GSAC victory over No. 9 The Master’s on Tuesday.
Sampson made 12 of 19 field goal attempts and added two assists, a steal and a blocked shot to her stat line.
Tugce Canitez, named the NAIA Player of the Week on Tuesday, recorded the Warriors’ second double-double of the night with 14 points and 14 rebounds.
The result leaves the Warriors unbeaten in GSAC play at 5-0. The first-place Warriors handed The Master’s its first loss in GSAC.
Lena Rivera was the Mustangs’ leading scorer with 12 points.
