San Marcos’ Frankie Kuesis returned from injury on Tuesday and scored a goal with three assists in the Royals’ 18-6 Channel League victory over Buena.
The Royals played quality defense and benefited from 16 steals in the game. Megan Bergthold led the team with five steals in addition to her three goals.
San Marcos welcomed Kuesis back after she injured her elbow in the preseason. The Royals have struggled with injury this season.
San Marcos (6-9) plays next on Friday at the Bonita Tournament. The Royals open against Claremont.
