Santa Barbara High’s girls water polo team defeated Montebello on Thursday 9-2.
Both teams begin competition in the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions on Friday.
The Dons led 9-0 in the third quarter before Montebello scored the game’s final two goals.
Kelsey O’Brien collected team-highs in scoring and steals with four in each category. Anna Brummett recorded two goals and three steals while Sophie Trabucco had two goals and three assists.
In the cage, Maddie Trabucco posted 12 saves.
Santa Barbara, which opens TOC play vs. Murietta Valley, has a record of 9-4.
