Carpinteria’s girls water polo team pounded Hueneme 19-2 on Friday in a non-league matchup.
“We have been focused on starting fast, balanced scoring, and great defense and it all seemed to be working today,” said Warriors head coach Bryan Swarm.
Six Warriors scored in the match, led by Maddie Brooks’ six goals. Hope Grant, Leticia Cruz and Maya Grant all scored three each.
In the cage, Vanessa Vega stopped eight shots.
Hueneme scored both its goals in the first quarter before getting shut out the rest of the way.
