Santa Barbara High’s third-ranked girls water polo team lost its third-straight match to a fellow top-5 team on Saturday, falling to No. 5 Los Alamitos 9-7.
The Dons (2-3) have played three of the top five teams in the Southern Section’s Division 1 already this season.
Betsy Hendrix’s three goals led five different Dons who scored. Anna Brummett’s all-around performance included scoring a goal, four steals, an assist and two ejections drawn.
In the cage, Maddie Trabucco stopped 13 shots.
The Dons play next on Decemeber 27th at Mater Dei. Santa Barbara begins the Holiday Cup at Newport Harbor the following day.
