Channel Islands gets theirs in pairs vs. Royals

San Marcos’ boys soccer team erased a 2-0 deficit on Wednesday, only to give the goals right back to Channel Islands in a 4-2 result.

The Raiders took a quick 2-0 lead by the 25th minute.

Alexis Charco, assisted by Ian Hill, cut the lead in half before the break. Early in the second frame, Joseph Meza converted a Robbie Landeros corner kick as the Royals drew even.

The tie didn’t stick as Channel Islands broke through for two more.

The Royals were happy to see senior Kevin Shaw return from injury to play at center back in his first game of the season.

San Marcos’ next action will be on Friday to open the San Marcos Invitational. A schedule for that event can be found HERE
