San Marcos led from start to finish in Tuesday’s CIF boys water polo match, eventually posting a 14-6 victory over visiting Brea Olinda in the wild-card round of the Division 2 playoffs.
The result was never in doubt as San Marcos led 4-1, 7-2, and 11-5 at the end of each quarter.
Shane Hauschild’s seven goals carried the Royals. Hauschild drew two 5-meter penalty shots and forced another ejection.
George Kuesis’ two goals, two assists and three drawn ejections helped the Royals on their way.
The Royals advance to meet Southwestern League champion Murrietta Valley in Thursday’s first round.
