All three local Channel League girls water polo teams will begin their seasons ranked in the top 10 of CIF’s Division 1.
The preseason polls were released on Tuesday, with Santa Barbara holding the highest ranking of the local schools at No. 3. ?The Dons feature two players who have already comitted to play in the Pac-12 next season. Kelsey O’Brien will be playing at UCLA and goalie Maddie Trabucco will be at Cal.
Corona del Mar is No. 1 and Foothill No. 2.
Dos Pueblos, which hosts No. 1 Corona del Mar in its season opener on December 7, finds itself ranked No. 7.
San Marcos is No. 8.
