Malibu’s boys water polo team got the better of Carpinteria in Wednesday’s 11-4 Tri-Valley League decision.
“We really played good defense versus Malibu’s high powered offense, but unfortunately we had a poor shooting day and just could not get our offense rolling,” reported Warriors head coach Bryan Swarm.
Carpinteria took a 1-0 lead in the first quarter but the Sharks responded by scoring five unanswered going into halftime.
Malibu’s Jordan Clarke and Henry Buckley were the game’s high scorers with three goals each. Malibu improves to 5-1 in TVL competition.
The Warriors, 3-3 in league play, had four different goal scorers: Ben O’Hara, Alan Chavez, Thomas Fly and Nate Nunes.
