The San Marcos girls golf team ended its season with a 260-282 win over Santa Barbara on Thursday at Santa Barbara Golf Club.
Melissa Jewkes of the Royals took home the medalist honor by shooting a 43, just edging out Channel League champ Saralisa Ortega, who shot a 45.
“The team energy and camaraderie was at a high point as the girls celebrated a successful end to this season that they have journeyed through together,” said San Marcos assistant Amato Recine.
The win brought San Marcos to a 2-6 finish in league and 6-9 overall. Santa Barbara finished the year 4-4 in league and 10-6 overall.
