Rowley, Katich pair well in Royals 12-6 victory

 
Wednesday’s 12-6 victory over Buena clinched second place in the Channel League for San Marcos’ girls tennis team.

The doubles team of Amber Rowley and Alyssa Katich swept three sets for the Royals 6-2, 6-3, 6-0.

The result leaves San Marcos 6-1 in league play.

Buena’s Casey Lee Emory went unbeaten in singles 6-0, 6-0, 6-0.

Jordan Lund and Renee Handley shook off losses to Emory and won their other sets 6-0, 6-0.

The Royals host Santa Barbara High on Thursday.
